Pros and cons of English-Tagalog Talking Dictionary app for iPhone and iPad

English-Tagalog Talking Dictionary app good for

Not a bad app if you dont mind scrolling through the program. Crashes quite a bit when searching for words, I say about 40% of the time.
4 stars because this is the best of the limited English-Tagalog dictionary apps out there. I have an iPhone 4 and Ive experienced a crash a couple times myself. If this improvement could be made, as well as a Tagalog-English addition, I would be WAY excited and would definitely change to 5 stars. I have a ton of friends I would gladly recommend if this were to happen.....especially considering the $8 cost. (too much in my opinion for only a 1-way translator, add in the Tagalog-English and itd be worth it) ...With SpanishDict being free...surely my suggestions are possible. Thanks for the app!
tagalog is such a rare language to find a good translator for but this one is great. basically any word can be found here and for 8 bucks its a good deal. havent had it crash but the 1.2 v is supposed to have bug fixes. awesome app overall.
Its a solid dictionary, has most words I throw at it. Definitely the best I have seen for Tagalog.
Easy to use and doesnt need an Internet connection. Thats already and A+ in my book. Great for finding the words you need.
This is exactly what I need.. I can use it as one of my tools for my upcoming nclex-rn exam! I have no regrets downloading this app. It really helps me a lot especially with my kids who keep asking me what is the Tagalog of this and that. So through this i can now answer their never-ending questions. Opss! Btw, this is my first time to give a comment or review in my app. Its a Highly Recommended!!!! Mabuhay

Some bad moments

The app title is very misleading. This app only pronounces the English words and really poorly with Text-to-Speech. Which is useless for English speaking people that want to know how to say the words in Tagalog. It is ok if you want to look up words in English and Tagalog. Though it would be nice to know how to clear the history or if you can even do that. As it stores every word you look at in the history. I also purchased the phrasebook from the same company and it is a lot better if you are wanting to know how to say basic phrase in Tagalog, but dont expect a word for word translation. This app is NOT very customizable as the description claims. There are no options to change the toolbars, fonts, or colors. The worst part is that there is no HELP menu. The virtual keyboard has NO input for special characters or symbols (accents) at all. There is also no options to create, add, edit your own personalized user dictionaries. Basically most of the options it claims to have are not there. So only buy this thing if you want to know how to say things in English like a computer voice with very bad pronunciation and to be able to look up words.
Text to speech is a lie, it only reads English words, useless to an English speaker. Save money and get a cheaper dictionary.
It only finds the tagalog words but you cant find the meanings of word that you searched,Very Useless!! Were just wasting Money in this dictionary!!!:(
I hope you fix this soon. When i type in the search bar and press search, the application quits out. If you dont fix it, then i have wasted 19.99. Fix it please!!!
There is a feeling of outrage one feels when $19 is spent on an app that simply doesnt work. Some of the simplest, most basic words are not in the dictionary, and it does NOT say the word! Why is it even called a "talking dictionary"? I will seek a refund.
